Dynamic new transatlantic trio, One for the Foxes, presents an introduction to Irish music in this demonstration and lecture. Featuring Ireland’s Tadhg Ó Meachair (piano, accordion) and Dave Curley (vocals, guitar), alongside Colorado’s Joanna Hyde (vocals, fiddle). Merging varied backgrounds in Irish and American folk music, this band’s highly personalized sound emerges in a manner both eclectic and grounded.
During this field trip, students will explore singing and lilting, compare different tune types and rhythms, learn a phrase or two in Irish, and much more!
Recommended for grades 2-8. Tickets are $2 per person.
