About the Appalachian Theatre

APP THEATRE SUMMER MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP

PLEASE NOTE: Appalachian Theatre's Summer Youth Production Camp is open to students entering grades 3 through 8 at the start of the 2024-25 school year. This camp requires camper participation, "buy-in" and engagement for the full day for 10 days with the goal of creating a final, ticketed performance product. Campers should indicate an interest in exploring acting, singing, dancing, movement and performance. No experience is necessary, but campers must be willing to participate, work hard and give their best effort.

FINDING NEMO, KIDS - This camp/production is a two-week commitment.

Cost: $380 for 2 weeks ($30 discount if paid in full); includes a $50 non-refundable deposit. Payment plans and financial aid available. Lunch options will be provided at an additional fee.

Dates: M-F, July 8-18  (9:00am - 4:00pm) & Friday, July 19 (9:00am - 8:00pm)

Campers will receive a camp t-shirt and perform in a ticketed show onstage at the Appalachian Theatre on July 19, 2024

In this 10-day production camp, participants develop musical theatre performance skills by singing, dancing and acting songs and a scripted story while honing their character, solo and ensemble skills. Campers will perform in a ticketed performance of Finding Nemo, Kids, a musical adaptation of the beloved film with music by award-winning songwriting team of Disney’s Frozen, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Featuring fun songs such as “Just Keep Swimming,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food,” and “Go With The Flow,” Finding Nemo, Kids brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship and adventure.
