About Appalachian Theatre

Thank you for your interest in employment with the Appalachian Theatre. Established in 1938, the AppTheatre is located in the heart of downtown, Boone, North Carolina, home to Appalachian State University, Grandfather Mountain and the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. After an extensive $10M renovation, the new Appalachian Theatre reopened in October 2019 as the only independent performing arts center in Watauga County. The 20,000 square foot theatre complex houses a 629-seat theatre, 1600 sq ft event space and hosts concerts, plays, films and a wide variety of community sponsored events.
