Search for Films Between 1938 and 2007
Note that the Appalachian Theatre was dark on Sundays from November 14, 1938 to April 18, 1954. Searches for Sunday dates during this period will return blank results.
Search for Live Shows Between 1938 and 1962
Live acts were not a daily or even weekly occurrence, particularly after the installation of the Cinemascope screen in 1954. No live shows occurred between December 1953 and June 1958. Only seven live shows took place between June 1958 and May 1962. The final live show prior to the 2019 reopening was a May 1962 twist dance contest.
