At the Appalachian Theatre, your safety and peace of mind are our top priority. From enhanced fresh air and filtration to touchless ticketing, the Appalachian Theatre is dedicated to implementing measures that cultivate a safe environment for our guests, artists, staff and volunteers. These policies are subject to change and some visiting artists may require more stringent protocols. We thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Face coverings are optional. Guests and employees who prefer to wear a face covering are encouraged to do so.

Our facility-wide Bipolar Ionization system can kill up to 99.9% of viruses on every air cycle on our HVAC system. Upgraded MERV filters scrub the air and increased outside venting controls allow the indoor air to be refreshed.

The building is thoroughly cleaned after each event. Hand sanitizer is provided throughout the building.

Tickets are refunded for events that are rescheduled, cancelled or if you are feeling unwell the day of the show.

Guidelines are subject to change at any time, and may vary as some artists may require more stringent measures for their shows. Please refer to your pre-show email for the latest policies applicable to your event. Guests agree to abide by the protocols in place at the time of a performance. The Appalachian Theatre may refund the purchase price, refuse admission, or remove a guest from the venue for failure to follow any health and safety measures in effect at the time of the show.

The App Theatre’s COVID-19 protocols reflect best practices within our industry, the requirements of state and local officials and the recommendations of health officials.
By working together and following industry standards, we have reopened in the safest way possible for staff, artists, crew, fans, and the community at large.

For tickets purchased through the Appalachian Theatre box office, refunds are available when requested prior to the start of the scheduled event. For tickets purchased through any resale or third-party site, please reach out to those purchase sites directly.
