About the Appalachian Theatre

Rental Information

The newly renovated Appalachian Theatre is a 20,000 sq ft performing arts center featuring a 629-seat theatre and 1,650 sq ft flexible community room space. Features include state of the art digital projection, LED lighting and professional sound systems. These spaces are available for rent at competitive rates by qualified community groups, local businesses and regional promoters. Located in the heart of downtown Boone, the historic Appalachian Theatre delivers a distinctive performance, meeting or special event experience for your patrons and clients. We maintain an onsite ABC Beer & Wine retail permit.

Interested in learning more about venue rentals? The process begins by reviewing our rental policies then completing and submitting the venue request form. An AppTheatre staff member will follow-up within a few days to explain next steps. Successful events are typically secured 6-12 months in advance. Theatre venue requests submitted less than 3 months prior to the event may not be considered.

Rental events held in the ATHC auditorium require liability insurance coverage. Though you may use any reputable insurance broker for event liability coverage, ATHC has partnered with HCC Specialty to provide this coverage for your event at affordable rates.
