we still need your help!

The Appalachian Theatre of the High Country (ATHC) officially re-opened October 14, 2019 and has raised over 90% of the campaign goal. While the construction project is funded, we need your support to properly equip the theatre with essential theatrical lighting, sound and rigging systems that will determine the ultimate ability of this theatre to serve our community and be sustainable.

The ATHC is a 501(c)3, nonprofit organization (EIN 46-1461331) and your financial contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

There are multiple ways to donate to the Appalachian Theatre. Feel free to pick the one that suits you most:

One of the best ways to support the ATHC financially is through a pledge commitment. Pledges can be made in any amount and spread out over as much as five years. Donations totaling $10,000 or more (including total pledges in that amount) are eligible for inclusion on our permanent donor board that will be located in the lobby of the theater.

To fill out a pledge card, click on this link RIGHT HERE. Then print out the pledge card, sign it, and return it to us at the address on the bottom of the card.

one-time donation via check

We like to call this the "old theater" way of sharing financial support with the ATHC, but it remains one of the most popular methods. Simply write a personal check in whatever amount you want--no donation is too small--and make it payable to the Appalachian Theatre of the High Country, then drop it off or mail it to us. If you're mailing in your check, please send it to:

one-time or monthly donation via paypal

The world has changed a lot since the Appalachian Theatre opened in 1938, and one of the most interesting changes is the ability to zap money to someone else through the magical superhighway tubes of the Internet.

We've found that one of the safest and most efficient ways to do this is via PayPal. You don't even need a PayPal account to use this method. Unfortunately, this method also requires that we pay a small percentage of your donation as a tribute to the Internet gods. So, unless you are currently being pursued by a James Bond villain or trapped in a well, we gently ask that you take a few minutes more to use one of the other methods. Your favorite local theater will thank you for the extra gift of your time.

To use PayPal, just click on that fancy "Donate" button below, which will take you directly to PayPal's interface, then provide an email and some additional details, and your contribution will be on its way to us. Don't worry--as with all donations we receive, regardless of how we receive them, we'll acknowledge your contribution in writing.
