Please note that the only authorized sales agents for Appalachian Theatre of the High Country (ATHC) are the Appalachian Theatre Lobby Box Office, Apptheatre.org online box office, ETIX.com, and venue-participating artists/events.

By purchasing a ticket, guests agree to review and abide by our VENUE POLICIES which may vary by show and are subject to change.

  • Tickets for Appalachian Theatre events may be purchased online at AppTheatre.org. ETIX is the official ticketing partner of the Appalachian Theatre of the High Country, and the ONLY approved ticketing service for this facility and its events.

  • The Appalachian Theatre accepts the following payment methods:

    • Cash (in-person only)

    • American Express

    • Discover Card

    • Master Card

    • Visa

  • Purchased tickets may be picked up at the ATHC Box Office Will Call window one hour prior to event start time or during box office business hours Tuesday – Friday between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

    Please provide photo ID and the credit card used to make the purchase. Whenever possible, please provide your order confirmation.

    If a Will Call order is being picked-up by someone other than the ticket purchaser, the purchaser must provide name to the ATHC Box Office.

  • Tickets for events at the Appalachian Theatre of the High Country are sold exclusively through the theatre box office and online at AppTheatre.org.

    We DO NOT partner with third party sellers and DO NOT accept tickets sold on the secondary market.

    We reserve the right to decline entry if you are not the original ticket buyer.

    Tickets purchased from alternate sources may be any, or all, of the following:

    · Inauthentic

    · Over-priced

    · Invalid (cannot be used to enter the event)

    The Appalachian Theatre of the High Country (ATHC) is not responsible for tickets purchased from third party vendors and is not able to honor, replace, or refund invalid tickets.

    Only purchase tickets from approved sources.

  • Invalid tickets/barcodes may be confiscated by the ATHC Box Office following an invalid scan. A copy of the invalid ticket may be used to alert the point of purchase. Guests will be provided a copy of the invalid ticket upon request.

    Subject to ticket inventory availability, guests with invalid tickets may purchase new tickets at the box office.

    Guests are strongly encouraged to report counterfeit ticket sales to the location of the ticket purchase and to consumer protection agencies.

  • Inclement Weather Policy: The performance will be held as scheduled unless the artist is unable to travel or a state of emergency has been declared which would prevent the audience from traveling to the theatre. Guests will be notified of weather-related event changes via email and updates will be posted on Facebook (@AppTheatre) and Instagram (@AppTheatre).

    In the unfortunate circumstance an event changes or is cancelled, guests will be notified via email and provided the option of retaining their purchased seats for the rescheduled date. Refunds provided upon request.

  • There are additional convenience, handling & processing fees per ticket for events held at the Appalachian Theatre. For some events, these fees may be reduced or excluded.

    Fees apply to both online and in-person transactions.

    6.75% NC sales tax is added to the price of each ticket unless otherwise noted.

    These fees may change at any time and promoters may add additional fees. Please read the event description for specific pricing and details.

    All patrons, regardless of age, are required to have a ticket for admission into the theatre for any event or concert. For children’s or family events, see the event listing for specific age-related ticketing requirements.

    For most performances at the Appalachian, children are defined as age 12 and under and seniors are age 60 and over, unless otherwise stated in the event listing.

Appalachian Theatre Seat Map

The Appalachian Theatre has two levels of seating. The lower orchestra section features continental seating. The balcony has 3 sections of seating, left, center and right. All wheelchair accessible spaces are located in the orchestra section. PLEASE NOTE: Balcony access requires the use of stairs.
